I am sad that a much ballyhooed change to the local water tower never occurred. Back in the late 80’s or early 90’s, some young civic go-getter was trying VERY HARD to get “VITAL VIGOROUS VICKSBURG!!!” painted on the tower. This measure was repeatedly shot down, whether due to lack of funding or lack of interest or lack of vigorous vitality on the part of the city commission, I do not know. It would have made me laugh. Vital! Vigorous! Now featuring Hungry Howies and multiple stop lights!
